Overview
This door interlock system has been developed and dedicated to CT rooms only. This system locks the CT room door upon detecting the rotation of a CT gantry. The magnet can withstand the long-hour use. The door lock is automatically released when a power failure occurs. As the clamp-type electric sensor is used to detect the rotation, this system can be readily used without modifying the CT system. This system can be used not only for CT but other systems as well. Currently, this system is being used not only for CT makers but also for the CT room of Chikyu, the ship probing the deep area of the earth, of JAMASTEC (Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology).

| This system detects the electric current of the CT rotation motor and locks or releases the magnet lock installed at the entrance of the CT room. The use of a lock-off timer disables the interlock system for 15 minutes. An operator can use the lock-off timer at his/her discretion when the interlock needs to be disabled temporarily for CT maintenance or ordinary operation and also the operator does not have to engage the interlock again. |
